Elizabeth Mbewe

In December 2006, a base leader in Zambia, Elizabeth Mbewe, died suddenly of a rare condition which could not be treated because of a lack of basic health care. She was a single mother of three and, among her many leadership responsibilities, cared for more than 100 orphans.

  1. On December 24th, Elisabeth Mbewe, the leader of the Chipata, Zambia YWAM Center, died suddenly of suspected complications from anemia. She was a single mother with three children, a foster mother, and was also responsible for a community school ministry which catered for over 100 underprivileged children. She is dearly missed by family, friends and co-workers.
