He was in born in Mizoram. He had two elder siblings. He visioned to lead young people to the Lord through Worship. He led many to the Lord not only through his involvement in missions but also through his life.
He did his DTS in Bangalore, India in 2006 and staffed in three DTS’. He finished the race while doing the School of Music in Mission outreach in Mumbai (India) due to heart failure.

Dear Y Family,
I was on my way to Africa when I heard of Gilbert’s untimely passing away.
We have known GIlbert as he did DTS and was staff in Bangalore. Every one who knew him could testify of the energy and passion Gilbert had.
He is a dear brother who was so passionate and joyful in God. Young as he was he did well to enthuse people to worship God, follow God. He led an amaing outreach from Bangalore DTS into the North East, where they had several concerts, meetings, out reaches, were on TV and even had met together as a team with the Chief Minister there.
Truly he was one of the best growing young men we had.
I was looking forward to seeing how Gilbert will develop and serve the Lord through YWAM.
The Lord knows best why he had leave us as this time.
Although we want to know the answer to the difficult question ” why Lord- why a good young man should be taken away? “. We may never know or fully grasp. I like to share the words of Kishore Rana, a key leader in Nepal, who had lost his wife in. I remember he said to me in Tonga in 1993, ” instead of trying th know the answer of the “why Lord”, I decided to know the Lord!”.
May the Lord encourage Gilbert’s family, Thanga, staff, other students of SOW and all of us who knew and loved Gilbert. May many more Gilberts arise in our mission.
