Marcos and Silvana Jdnyczuk
YWAM Brazil mourns the death of our beloved couple Marcos and Silvana Jdnyczuk. He was 52 and she was 48 years old. They served with YWAM for almost 30 Years.

Marcos died on March 18th 2021 and Silvana right after on April 5th 2021.

They led YWAM Eagles Mountain (YWAM- Monte das Aguias) from 2005 – 2010.

Marcos was a simple, honest, loyal and faithful friend, who loved the Lord and served those around him with all his might. Silvana was always at his right side defending and supporting him in his leadership.
Marcos was an easy-going person, eager to serve at any time and situation. One just needed to ask and he would be right there, ready to help. He never held a grudge against anyone and knew how to come and support anyone who needed encouragement. He was not a lover of titles or positions, and was always ready to listen to a suggestion and put it into practice. He had a simple faith and was able to work with anyone, even if he thought differently. He did not demand “correct” faith from anyone in order to be able to work with that person.

He was bearing fruit even after his death. His mother was saved, and his niece, the one he used to preach to, also gave her life to the Lord the day after his passing – both after seeing so much love demonstrated by his friends and the care of the Lord in everything.

Silvana, his wife, was always ready to serve and entertain any visitor who knocked on their door for a coffee or a barbecue, which Marcos loved to do without much planning.
Marcos did his DTS in 1991, and Silvana in 1992, both in Curitiba. Both served for almost two years in YWAM, Salem-OR, from 2010 to 2012.
They had just taken over the leadership of the Family Ministry School and were in their first school as leaders of the ministry, when they were infected by Covid-19. Marcos passed away from a heart attack caused by Covid-19. Silvana was in the same hospital. The day after she got the news of her husband’s death, she was placed in the ICU and died 17 days after her husband. Together in life and also in death!

They were wonderful parents and are survived by their two children, Caio (22) and Isabela (17), who are safe in the love of God and ready to move on and continue their parents’ legacy with all the security, maturity and full confidence in the will of the Lord Jesus.

JOCUM Brasil lamenta a morte de nosso querido casal Marcos e Silvana Jdnyczuk. Ele tinha 52 anos e ela 48. Ambos serviram com a JOCUM por quase 30 anos.

Eles lideraram a JOCUM – Monte das Águias de 2005 a 2010.

Marcos J. (como ele era conhecido), era um amigo simples, honesto, leal e fiel, que amava o Senhor e servia com todas as suas forças aos que o cercavam. Silvana sempre esteve à sua direita, defendendo e apoiando-o em sua liderança.

Marcos era uma pessoa descontraída, disposto a servir em qualquer momento e situação. Bastava perguntar e ele estaria ali, pronto para ajudar.

Ele nunca guardou rancor de ninguém e sabia como ouvir e apoiar qualquer pessoa que precisasse de encorajamento. Não era amante de títulos ou cargos, estava sempre pronto para aceitar uma sugestão e colocá-la em prática. Ele tinha uma fé simples e era capaz de trabalhar com qualquer pessoa, mesmo que pensasse de forma diferente. Ele não exigia fé “correta” de ninguém para poder trabalhar com aquela pessoa e frutificar onde estivessem.

Ele estava dando frutos mesmo depois de sua morte. Sua mãe foi salva, e sua sobrinha (para quem ele pregava), também entregou sua vida ao Senhor no dia seguinte de seu falecimento – ambas depois de ver tanto amor demonstrado por seus amigos, e o cuidado do Senhor em tudo.

Silvana, sua esposa, estava sempre pronta para servir e entreter qualquer visitante que batesse em sua porta para um café ou um churrasco, o que Marcos adorava fazer sem muito planejamento.

Marcos fez sua ETED em 1991 e Silvana em 1992, ambos em Curitiba. Serviram por quase dois anos em JOCUM, Salem-OR, de 2010 a 2012. Eles tinham acabado de assumir a liderança da escola ministerial da família e estavam em sua primeira escola como líderes do ministério, quando foram infectados por Covid 19. Após alguns dias Marcos faleceu de ataque cardíaco provocado pela Covid 19, e Silvana, que estava internada no mesmo hospital, no dia seguinte ao receber a notícia da morte do marido, foi internada na UTI e faleceu 17 dias após o marido. Juntos na vida e também na morte!

Foram pais maravilhosos e deixam dois filhos, Caio (22) e Isabela (17), que estão seguros no amor de Deus, prontos para seguir em frente e dar continuidade ao legado dos pais com toda a segurança, maturidade e plena confiança na vontade do Senhor Jesus.
