Getting Ready To Turn The Page
Dear Family,
As we come to the end of 2014 and move into 2015, I asked the Lord what was on His heart, and I sensed Him say to me, and this can be for you too . . .
“LOVE Me, LOVE each other. Come into alignment with My Kingdom which is righteousness joy and peace. It’s not a matter of talk but of power. The power of My LOVE. Leave everything at the cross, disappointments, hurts, addictions and bad relationships. The prayers of righteous sons and daughters are powerful and effective.
“It’s a day of new beginnings, don’t dwell on the past. Give Me a clean sheet, a new white page to write on, as you start the new year. Listen to Me, and continually be filled with My Spirit, taking one day at a time, living for Me. It’s only what you do for Me, that will last. Seek first My Kingdom and My righteousness and everything else will be given to you. I love you and have called you for such a time as this.”

The Baby and the Birds
Is there a connection? What has the celebration of the birth of Jesus got to do with what happened in the first chapter of Genesis?
Well . . . just about everything. It was that same Jesus who presided over, and produced all of creation.
Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!—came into being without him. [John 1:3, The Message]
So then, we can pair Christmas and Creation, and also The Baby and the Birds. Recently, I learned a new word.
Murmuration.
Not the sort of murmuring the Israelites did (and you and I never do, right?). But I discovered that some very ordinary birds do it.

Aren’t you awestruck, that in those clouds of birds, you see not one mid-air collision? As a former pilot, I know that to fly in formation with one or more other aircraft, requires hours and hours of gruelling, perspiring practice, and ranks about #2 in peacetime aviating skill and danger. (#1? A dark-and-stormy night-landing, on a bucking and pitching aircraft carrier, which thankfully, I never had to face!)
“How wonderful is that?” concludes the bird-watching video narrator . . . Well, what would you expect from such a Wonderful Creator-God? [Is 9:6]
Yet, this same Jesus, who gave these sometimes pesky birds such fantastic flight-ability, has fashioned so much more into us created human beings.
“We are his handiwork.” [Eph 2:10] “Made in His image.” [Gen 1:27]
